Hello....hope everyone had a great and fun filled weekend. My weekend was low key and relaxing. Didn't really do anything except visit with a friend and potential roommate. Good times. Watched a movie call Timers which was interesting. It is a bit slow moving but a good concept.



Did you miss my update on Snapshots and Designs. Here is another look.

Five Question Friday

Amy at Amy's Life had this on her blog today. I thought it would be fun to answer so take a gander::

1. Can you drive a stick shift?

That was my first car that I learned to drive on. Couldn't get out of second for a while. LOL

2. What are two foods you just can't eat?

Nuts (allergic but I eat them anyways, I do however stay away from Walnuts and Almonds severely allergic) and I am not a big fan of MEAT

3. Do you buy Girl Scout Cookies? What is your favorite kind?

OMG yes they are evil. Tagalongs are the BEST..

4. How do you pamper yourself?

Print labels and organize my craft area. Taking pics this weekend will show. Its a work in progress.

5. What is your nickname and how did you get it?

Jeans or G. I got Jeans when I was little. My parents called me Mean Jeans cause apparently that is the name of jeans I was wearing. G is what some of my friends call me. No idea when that started.

Jury Duty or did I

Let me start this out by saying
if my "job" was more understanding
and didn't make me feel guilty.
Then I would have stayed.
However that is not the case.

Okay so this morning I went to the best place on EARTH.
.......
JURY DUTY!!!
Yep that is right. However,
because I cannot sit or stand for a
long
period of time.
I postponed it again.

But I did wait for the crappy movie,
the dude who obviously LOVES his Job (sarcastic tone inserted here),
and his HOTT assistant Jason.

After the instructions were given out.
There are always those who
only choose certain words to catch.
Those who were postponing stood in a single file line
and wait for further instructions.
Then the ones who love to "listen" start in
on Jason. Calling him rude, ignorant,
going on and on. This makes for others to join
in on the constant whining....
So irritating. I wanted to tell them to SHUT UP
but I decided to be cool and wait to get
out of there.

After Jason explained the instructions
over AGAIN. This one lady called him RUDE
and "wanted to speak to his supervisor", who by the way
is even ruder than he is. Dummy.

So here I am Jury Duty Postponed until May
and hopefully excused for health reasons.

On Friday I decided
to treat myself and see
if I could find a wallet to replace
my FAVORITE
that broke. (Violins playing in the background)
So I ventured to a different ROSS
to see what they had.

I found this wallet underneath a pile
of stuff.
The price tag on it was $88.
Ross you're crazy.
So I took it up to the
register to find out how much
it actually was going to be on the
ROSS scale.

So for an Italian Leather
Lucky Brand
Wallet
$88 retail price.
I paid $12.99
ARE YOU KIDDING ME.
HOW could I pass it up.

The inside is so adorable and I didn't
know how I would feel about the
change pocket at the top.
But it works for me
expect when I dump it out in line at
Target.

This is the other special find I found at
ROSS.

The only thing I would change is the
straps. I wish they were longer.
But so much room inside and goes
perfectly with my new wallet.

I did throw the broken one away.
and decided that this weekend I
am going to purge more wallets and
purses.

75 Degrees...Californians like it cool. LOL

Bathroom, eww I share and its gross.

Shh....work. LOL

Shhh.....a lot. I love finding new blogs.

Death Race 2

This weekend among all the other things I watched Death Race 2. Which I expected to be cheesy and bad since its a sequel...actually prequel. If you have seen Death Race with Jason Stathom you know that he took over after Frank died. But do you know how Frank became Frankenstein. It's packed full of Action, Violence, Hottness (something for the ladies, Luke is nice on the eyes)!! I would recommend however make sure you kids are not around. It is for sure not kid friendly. Plus your husbands will thank you. Its a total dude flick.

Wow that was a quick one....

I wanted to share some of my weekend with everyone however I will not have pictures till tonight. (I don't have my laptop with me)....I know bad me!

So HOW WAS THE WEDDING you ask?? Bubba looked A...MAZING...Cowboy was handsome and everything was great.

Thursday night was the rehearsal and dinner. At the rehearsal the workers informed Bubs that the owner was not going to fix some lights that were out. Mind you they were up there for 9 years you would think that he would upgrade. NOPE!! After compromising and working out the kinks we left for Raphellos. I took pictures of each table and Bubs and Cowboy passed out gifts for the bridal party and others who helped with getting the wedding stuff done. It was a late night but good to be with family.

Friday I ran errands (ie. found a purse, wallet, tank top, picked up batteries for camera, etc.), prepped for the wedding and rested a bit until going to help with the wedding prep. When I arrived at the banquet hall it was pretty much done. My Bubba did an amazing job. It looked fantastic. Bubba was exhausted so after we went to Uncle Bubbas house and stayed for a bit talking.

The big day!! I was up early. Had to pick up the grooms cake from Lake Forest. With the help of my lil bro (there was no way that I would be able to do that on my own) we got it safely home so we could get ready and start the day. I planned on wearing a really cute shirt I got from Old Navy but it was HUGE I hadn't realized I lost that much but DANG. So I opted for another.
We dropped off the cake at the Banquet hall and went to Uncle Bubbas house. I took pictures of Bubs getting ready and with the family.

We went to take pictures at the cemetery and I lost it. I hadn't been there in years since they had passed and I couldn't hold it together. Even writing this I get teared eye. I haven't come to terms with it.

We then went to the hall for the Wedding. In the end I took over 500 pictures and was exhausted. Pictures and more to come...its odd but I am still tired. LOL

In T -1.5 hours I will be on
a 4 day vacation.
YAHOOOOOOOOO!!
I can just feel my pillows calling me
and instructing my slumber.

However, I can't and must decline.
I have a wedding to take pictures of and
of course I can't wait.

truly great MAN.

I was trying some of the different settings and

thought I would share a few.

Of course they are of my cat....

he was a willing participant...

or maybe I bribed him with some

scratching behind the ear.

I choose to use the manual setting and change the

ISO.

I used auto setting but manual

when it came to aperture.

This was an oops. But turned out

interesting. I duplicated

this with my other cat as well.

Uncomfortable, I would like to be in

sweats and a comfy sweater.

Progress or am I kidding myself??

For the last few months I have done my best to

stay on target and change.

Eat fruit till I burst,

cut out the soda (a challenge that I am loosing currently),

eat all my protein during the day,

and bread before 2pm (hopefully cutting this out soon),

and more fruit and veggies.

The challenge is being motivated. I notice

that I am looking at calories more,

checking ingredients,

and being cautious about the things

I put into my body.

The problem is that

I am tired of cooking. I don't want to

cook for myself.

I have no place to put my food

therefore my "life change" is

hindered. (already discussed this in a previous post)

so what do I do about it?

Need help peeps.

So here is me currently 20 lbs lighter and

enjoying my new wardrobe.

We were at a stop light and I got all excited

He was so ecstatic that he tried to take a picture
with his "great" phone and well

and in the middle of doing something
your not supposed too. I snapped this

Currently I am single and have been for a long time.
However, waiting for any male prospects: LOL

Work at a non-profit. NO!!

3. In what state do you live? Where were you born and raised?
CALI. Born and raised...sure was and sometimes I wish I was born
in a more historic place like BOSTON.

4. Do you have children? If so, how many? If not, do you want them?
Not yet but I will be adopting. I also would love to
have biological as well.

5. Who is your favorite blogger to follow and why?
I am digging Jessica from The Lowe Family News
I have never met her but she just seems
like a genuine person and real friend.

In the making

How about a quick "How's it going Gina" recap. I have been "eating" better for about a month. I haven't followed the LDL plan to a T. However, I have done it the best I can at this point. It's difficult when you do not have your own kitchen and really the time to cook. But good news my pants and clothes are still getting bigger and my "smaller" clothes are beginning to fit me. It's nice to have a whole new wardrobe at my finger tips.

YAY ME!!

So friends this month I plan on taking another step to LDL eating plan and eat give up soda completely. For now I am cutting down and hopefully I can look at soda the same as I do other high calories foods and say "NO"!
