So, when I say I am saddened mostly because of her personality that comes across the media.

Weekend Round Up

This is a little late but thought I would do a recap of my weekend since my other posts have been "gloomy". I was able to visit with some friends that I haven't seen in a while. On Friday I visited and took a blackmail picture of Amanda and Chuck. She is pregnant so I took a picture. I wish I could share it but I will respect her privacy besides I plan on making her something with it. On Saturday I spent the day in LA with Bianca. She just moved and her place is adorable. She has decorated it very chic and fun. We went to the Glendale Galleria and Americana. I didn't purchase anything, a tee shirt was $245.00, crazy. NO Thanks. On Sunday, I spent the day getting rid of a migraine and watching NCIS, I am so addicted to that show its rather scary.

All weekend I took care of tortoises and kittens for a Kari and Ejiro who were in Baltimore visiting a friend.

No an exciting or eventful weekend but I decided to stop boycotting the Oscar's. Hugh Jackman did an excellent job and Heath Ledger won. Congrats to his family. The reason I boycotted for quit sometime is Titanic won for best movie and Good Will Hunting which in my opinion was an amazing and clever movie didn't. Robin Williams won, the boys won for best screenplay, however, Titantic (a movie about a sunken ship) won for best picture. So therefore I thought I would punish those who chose wrongly and not watch the Oscar's or care. Because of the above, meaning Hugh Jackman and Heath Ledger I decided I would try giving the boys of the Oscar's another chance. Well they did very well, it was classy, elegant, kinda long but very inventive.

SOAP BOX-Drivers on the 91

Yesterday on my way home from work I witnessed the most heinous display of human nature involving 2 cars. I was the on ramp to 91 west freeway and I was ahead of an older man (not a gentleman that is for sure) and the car behind him was trying to merge, he then proceeded to slow enough so the car that was trying to merge was almost hit by the unkind person behind. They proceeded to get into a honking fight so I did what any normal person would do, I went about my way however when the two were trying to get in I blocked them and so did others in front and behind me. The two people who were absolutely rude are the reasons we have so frequent accidents in California. If everyone used the rule of common courtesy (you go I go, etc.) then maybe there would be less accidents, fender benders and road rage resulting in tragedies. Off my soapbox will continue with my day...

Movie Review-He's Just not that into you

I need to spread the word about Greg you are a genius and I must Thank You repeatedly about letting women in on the male "voice" and women "screw ups". Greg wrote a book called "He's Just not that Into" great lil ditty and they finally made a movie. This movie is good so insightful, if you or a "friend" are anything like these woman be proud. They were all strong, somewhat independent (when it comes to work and friends, not relationships) just didn't see what they needed too. It was great and insightful, brilliant in some restraints and well the men were a bit like most men we women meet at bars, grocery stores, parties, etc. And they leave these begging questions

1) Why arent' you calling me?

The movie answer's the question if a man wants to be with a woman he will make it happen any way he can, and if he wants to talk to you he will call you. So please stop staring at the phone (cell, landlines, work, etc.) if he doesn't move on.

2) If he says that he is going out of town and he talk to you later!!

Ladies he is blowing you off! Yep and don't let him give you his card, give him yours and only yours. Be strong that way you will know if he calls see answer to #1.

BONUS: Myspace, Facebook are the new booty calls, I had no idea.

The greatest thing ever is that "SPARK" was made up by a man, meaning that its his way of letting you down to make him less of a jerk. BRILLIANT. I so intend to use this, spark and chemistry are the new "its not you its me" or "I just want to be friends". LOVE IT!!

This movie made me realize how impersonal first dates are and what I miss about meeting people. How are you supposed to base your relationship on if your not friends first and why must there be innuendos regarding what a woman should or should not do. This is the age of time where we have rights and responsibilities that men do and are being recognized for just that. So I say women if you want to be "with" a man then go for it, and if you feel that there is no "spark" (see above) move on to the next Kahuna there are plenty left in the ocean and if not try a Lake.

HOLY CRAP-Thinkin crazy Thursday

I just read an article about a 68 yr old woman who has been married 23 times, let me say that again for those whose mouth's just dropped MARRIED 23 TIMES. I can't even get married once but it seems she is not having a problem. However, I am very picky and it seems she has married a homeless MEN, preacher, bartender and a convict just to name a few. She has been beaten, left and widowed yet still says that she will marry again because "It gets lonely". Well heck I am a hermit then. Okay so she's from Indiana and well what else could she do but to marry the many men that surround her but really I wonder if she is interested in finding her one or maybe she missed him because she was married and he found someone else. Then I think well at least she put herself continuously on the market. But what about the old cow and new cow scenario and the men not wanting to commit. What makes her milk worth buying or willing to commit to one woman......

Godmother-Peanut

A very dear friend is having a girl very soon. Her family is growing she already has a beautiful step-daughter who is way to smart for her own good. When I was asked to be the godmother I was awed, she has so many people surrounding her I was amazed that she would choose me. Then the feeling of not all jealousy came because I am a year younger and my life is at a stand still. Currently, all I think about is having a child not necessarily getting married but adopting a little girl from HOME. But at this point I know that is just wishful thinking and have to wait until I am ready its only fair for both of us. Please don't think I am against marriage. I am relationship retarded and I will leave it at that. I was so happy for her and her husband and almost cried, and although she is somewhat scared I know that because of everything she went through and how she grew in the last 10 years she is going to be an amazing mother.

When I was first asked I had to get her view on what a godmother was so that we were on the same page in regards to what would happen if anything should. I am a godmother to another and absolutely adore her, she is and will always be my dill pickle. Yes that is a nickname I came up with when she was born, I was the first to hold her and take her to the waiting room. She is 9 years old and amazing. Strong, independent and confident all things that her mother has instilled in her. Dill Pickle's mother is another dear friend (see friends post) and brings out confidence that hides in myself as well.

Book Review-Pride

This is a book by Rachel Vincent and is the 3rd installment. The question is not did I like the book the question should be how much did I like the book? Well so much that I had a hard time putting it down, making it difficult to get enough sleep, complete work, and overall just function in general. I loved let me say that again LOVED the entire series and can't wait for her next book "PREY" coming out in July. Strong, self sufficient women living her life in a male dominated area, works with the man she loves and yet still has time to remember who she is and keeps fighting. Who wouldn't love a tough as nails heroine like this.


This should be an exciting turn in the Faythe's life. I truly can't wait. Good work Rachel.

Movie Review-PUSH

I give it a B, I wanted more of a story line. However, I believe the next one (if there is one, fingers crossed) will go more in depth with the background of the characters. I liked the actors such as CHRIS EVANS, and Dakota Fanning, etc. The fight scenes were very well choreographed and well executed. So, on my scale would I purchase or just Netflix again. PURCHASE


Let me explain my ratings level. Its either Netflix only (and I usually fast forward and never recommend), or there's PURCHASE which means I like well enough to watch over and over and over, etc. Example, Good Will Hunting=Purchase many times (copy wore out). I do not pay attention to critis because usually they give my movies that I adore and really enjoyed thumbs down , IE Good Will Hunting.

Friends Friday

Last night while I was watching Grey's Anatomy I realized what amazing friends I have. Honest, trust worthy and all around good people. I have known most of them for over 7 years. They are the go to people when you need a shoulder to cry on or a venting outlet. They are the ones I go to in a time of need, they are my FAMILY, the great people I chose.

Weekend Wasted

My entire weekend was a waste due to a Migraine. Not only did I have a full blown 15 on the rector scale but I missed 2 days of work. Having the doctor ask you on a scale of 1-10 what is the pain level and you say 15 then she figures your threshold of pain to be higher than the average person. Well lets say that my weekend sucked.

Girls Night

It's Friday and that means girls night. Now if I was say 21 and going out with my girls then the bar or party would be on the agenda. However, I am not 21 nor are my friends and by the way even when I was 21 I didn't go to bars or frequent many parties. I got that out of my system way before then. I was not a bad girl and I really don't really know how to be one. I am sure everyone wishes at one time or another they could just let go but I valued control to much and therefore didn't want to handle the consequences.

So, where do 3 ladies go on a Friday night you ask? Well to dinner and a movie of course. We will be watching Chris Evans (yum) in Push. Have been looking forward to it since the preview. The evening will end early because I have to work Saturday but that is how grown ups have a good time.

How many times.....

Can you watch the same TV show? Since I had a really good friend add Veronica Mars Season 3 to my ipod I have watched it everyday for over 3 months. Before you go "WHAT" let me explain. I have over 3000 songs and 2 tv shows and I listen, I do not watch the show. I haven't had a chance to add more shows and/or movies to the ipod so for this time I am watching the same thing. What I have found is that I will quote her or use some of her sarcasm while I am leaving notes or speaking to an everyday person and then I get questioned as to what I am meaning.

Any suggestions please let me know, I am always looking for more shows to watch...

Wordful Wednesday-Migraines

First post for the ever Popular Wordful Wednesday.

Ever went to bed with a Migraine and by the morning it traveled to the entire front region. Well that was Tuesday and taking medication didn't help neither did sleeping. All these people have "suggestions" and you feel like an idiot trying them because you know that they won't work but you humor them anyway. Well DON"T because it made it only worse.

So the one thing that did work was lots of OJ and potassium. Do not use migraine medication or pills unless you have some strong sleeping miracle.

Short Weekend

Busy weekend and I got nothing done for myself. Helped a friend move from the LB to Hollywood and then visited with friends to the wee hours of the night. Sunday hung out with my cousin and watched Twilight again. It was nice however my room is a mess and laundry well luckily I was able to do a load last night.

I am still stuck in the same rut from last year and even with a new job, which I thought would help didn't.
